NCGA Foundation


The NCGA Foundation was established in 1989 to promote junior golf and provide assistance for turfgrass research.

In 1994, more than $21,000 was donated to junior golf programs throughout Northern California, bringing the total to more than $100,000 since the inception of the NCGA Foundation.

The NCGA Foundation also was the primary financial backer of a study on the eradication of kikuyugrass that ended in 1994. Other turfgrass programs will continue to benefit.

The NCGA Foundation provides members and other golfers an avenue to make a commitment to golf that lasts beyond a lifetime. Many contributions have been made in the memory of loved ones who were longtime members of the NCGA. Contestants in NCGA tournaments send donations with their entry blanks.
